Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the quality of the clinical practice of RNs, Medical Technologists, Medical Assistants and Referral Coordinators to maximize access for patients and facilitate the delivery of prompt, quality health care. Implement and evaluate systems within the clinics that promote quality and cost effective care. 

  • Oversee nursing services within all clinic sites
  • Ensure that all assigned staff are competent to operate under clinical standing orders
  • Assure compliance with all state and federal boards and regulatory bodies as required for licensing and certification, and other state and federal programs
  • Assess training needs and promote developmental activities
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained by non-provider medical staff in all patient records and nurse/staff-provider communications
  • Develop, refine and maintain systems and processes to assure the reliability, accuracy and confidentiality of information in conjunction with medical/professional staff service providers

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Current California RN license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum five years' general nursing experience
  • Minimum two years' supervisory experience in a health care setting (preferably a community clinic setting)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation

Preferred

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred
  • Knowledge of CHC, ambulatory settings and DHS regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA and federal, state and local laws and regulatory requirements for providing outpatient ambulatory health care
  • Knowledge in the scope of practice and work for RNs, MAs, Referral Coordinators and other nursing personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills with strong ability to create a comfortable, supportive learning environment
  • Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities

Salary

$ 125,000 - 132,000 Annual
