    Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing care in a comprehensive, high quality setting.     Work with HIV-positive individuals to assess individual risk and needs and enroll as appropriate into a risk reduction program.  Provide risk reduction counseling to individuals, partner notification and treatment adherence.  Provide group level education to diverse populations.  Provide risk reduction counseling, health education and counseling, and testing services to at-risk individuals.  Conduct outreach to recruit HIV-positive and high risk negative individuals for program services.  Assist with the implementation of social media campaigns, and maintain and update social network WebPages including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Oversee completion of program objectives; recommend changes in scope as appropriate.  Serve as liaison between program staff, community agencies and local government representatives.



    • High School diploma or equivalent with four years of experience in community education and/or direct patient services
    • Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
    • Knowledge of social and emotional issues related to HIV infection
    • Demonstrated competency working with culturally diverse, low/no income clients
    • Successful experience and demonstrated ability in general office skills and proficiency in MS-Windows, MS-Office, internet use and data entry


    • Associate’s degree in a related field with two years community education and/or direct patient services experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • Experience assisting clients in social services and health care access; knowledge and experience providing HIV/AIDS education and information
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to HIV disease
    • Experience with social networking websites
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
