    Responsibilities

    Responsible for the writing, oversight and administrative management of clinical grants including initiation, implementation and close-out. Identify, involve, and collaborate with key clinical staff in all phases. Assist grant writers with concept development. Oversee all aspects of program operations, formulate and manage budget(s), and define the scope of work. 

    • Write, oversee and administer clinical grants
    • Oversee completion of program objectives and deliverables for all assigned clinical grants.
    • Responsible for oversight, initiation, implementation and completion of evaluation process
    • Responsible for administration and implementation of project work plans and budgets
    • Responsible for budget tracking/fiscal accounting and assuring that program expenses are allowable within contract terms
    • Responsible for recommending and generating budget revisions and justifications
    • Responsible for internal and external program reporting, such as progress and final reports
    • Prepare all required reports and maintain records per clinic and contract policy
    • Develop strategies to integrate clinical grants within the clinic’s operations. Work with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Health Promotion Officer to pursue new program opportunities
    • Coordinate with multiple clinic staff to ensure grant requirements (e.g. expenditures, payroll allocations, time sheets, data collection, etc.) are completed.
    • Serve as liaison with funding source and community-based organizations

    Qualifications

    Minimum

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field
    • Three years minimum related experience
    • Grant writing experience
    • Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between sites for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes

    Preferred

    • Masters degree in public health, or related field, with two years of related experience
    • Bilingual, English/Spanish

    Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of available local community resources and government, community health centers, public assistance programs and state/federal regulations
    • Ability to work with people of all social and ethnic backgrounds and within the constraints of government funded programs in a professional manner
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, PowerPoint)
    • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative and be proactive
    • Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner
    • Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
