    Responsibilities

    • Monitor temperatures logs for multiple fridges/freezers

    • Monitor vaccine inventory in EPM file maintenance and SDIR for all vaccine programs.

    • Knowledge of SDIR registry reporting system.

    • Reporting system in EHR

    • VFC & VFA program: Ordering vaccines on a monthly basis. Account for all inventory and storing them properly per program guidelines.

    • Flu season: Allocating and ordering of Clinic stock and State flu for all sites. Ordering of initial VFC flu order for all sites. Ensuring all sites are compliant with weekly state Flu reporting.

    • Clinic stock: Report/review and order clinic stock immunizations for all sites on a monthly basis. Distribute PPD to all sites.

    • Meet with reps and update information to offsite immz coordinators. Assist wellness clinic and organize back to school clinics.

    • Ensure all VCC Peds staff are up to date with their EZIZ trainings. Sustain INH follow up system for VCC Peds. Work with compliance to ensure we are meeting vaccine rates and coming up with new ways to ensure we meet our goal.

    • Update billing and IT on new codes for any vaccines.

    • Update IT with any new VIS’s that need to be uploaded in EHR.

    Qualifications

     Minimum

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Clinical Medical Assistant Certification indicating completion of program from an approved school or hospital
    • CPR Certification (BLS Child, Infant, Adult)
    • Phlebotomy experience; certificate preferred
    • Minimum four years’ back office or three years’ specialty practice experience
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

    Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

    • Good knowledge of general back office procedures, such as taking vitals, performing venipuncture, administering immunizations, etc
    • Emergency response capability for possible crisis situations
